Hi readers!
Now that it's 2011, I've decided I will be using golf as the reason behind writing more often. The main focus will be golf-related stuff... but there will be some other goodies mixed in. =)
I played my first round of golf of the year yesterday. It was Jackson Park - a challenging muni in Seattle. I joined up with 3 friends who were surprisingly impervious to the weather - a less than friendly 40s and raining steadily. Lightly, but steadily.
Nonetheless, the ground was beyond saturated with the rain - pretty much 100% lateral water hazard. For the non-golfers reading, that means if you take a step, water squishes out of the ground. It was like playing golf on a sponge. =)
The golf was made all the harder by the fact that I worked out a.) for the first time in about a month, and b.) my legs in particular for the first time in many, many months. I've spent this weekend both sore and pretty unable to get around! As a result, trying to stay balanced during a golf swing was pretty challenging. So between the slippery, sloshy ground... and a rather useless pair of legs... and the cold, wind and rain... it was very difficult playing. Hooks all over.
So... I hope next time is better on all accounts!
In other news:
The Localite gang and I are planning on reviewing draft #1 of some wire frames this weekend. It won't be long now until the site is under development and we can start counting down the days until launch and changing the world. =)
